Freezer Meal Essentials

In case you missed it, it's FREEZER MEAL WEEK here at Six Sisters' Stuff!

This week for the Sister Chat, we're sharing our favorite freezer meal tools!

First, we need to be clear that you don’t need anything fancy to make freezer meals.

However - there are a few things that will make your life a lot easier, especially if you're doing a freezer meal making marathon!

Here's some of our favorite tools for making the best DIY freezer meals out there:

  1. Freezer Bag Holders. These make putting together freezer meals so much easier!
  2. Vegetable Chopper. This one's great for the recipes that have a lot of veggies - soups, sheet pan, casseroles. Chopping them more uniformly helps them cook more evenly, too.
  3. Good knives. A good, sharp knife will help things go quicker (and help you avoid injuries!).
  4. Good cutting boards. This 3-pack set is one of our most-used in our kitchen.
  5. Souper Cubes. These are one of our favorite ways to store food once it is cooked! It's great for soups and if you want to store smaller portions.
  6. Meat Thermometer. If you want to make sure your meat is cooked all the way through (without drying it out), this is a lifesaver!
  7. Slow Cooker. This is our favorite, it doesn't have a ton of bells and whistles, but it's a workhorse and will last you a decade.
  8. Instant Pot. This 7-in-1 duo is our favorite pressure cooker.
